Demo Day

I had my first experience of a demo day yesterday. It was with burton, SO helpful. Test rode the sherlock and super hero. Def like the flex of the super hero. Im 6'1 170lbs, and the 157 at ref stance rode really nice for me. it was with the genesis bindings. the rep said next years genesis bindings will be completely redesigned. Which I am looking very forward to. I currently ride 09 Triad EST and find them too stiff for me, but I'm gonna play with some adjustments today and see what it do.

I've emailed NS about a demo day in Ontario. They said maybe in the future.

I'd love to demo a gnu or lib tech board with the magna trac, and see how it really is on these icey slopes with that flex of a 4-6.

I want to see what all the hype about NS and Mervin's are, if its true-awesome. Just need a chance to sample.

Can we please get a sticky'd thread with demo day dates for east coast canada? thanks

Here's the list of burton demo days for this season for Ontario, its a start.

I'm always happy to see that red tent at blue mountain and try some new stuff, I've made purchase decisions on both bindings and boards based on demos, and if I ride something its a lot easier for me to take the plunge and buy it.

My GF switched from K2 to Burton bindings based on her experiences with a demo day. I have no idea why more companies don't do them. They really work!

I purchased my Sherlock after a demo day at Blue 2 yrs ago. Very helpful to be able to try out before buying...and I agree Mervin and NS should do demo days up here as well.
After trying my bro-in-laws 2012/13 GNU Choice this year, I now wish I would have went the route of a Mervin board. And I would love to demo a NS to see what they are about.
If you're up at Blue, head into Fathom and see a guy named Tim H. He set me up to demo a Lib Tech TRS for the day. Next time I go up I'm going to see what other boards they demo out!!

ya i feel the same way that demo days are the way to bring new customers. but i will say this. that i have tried burton snowboards capaita and ride snowboards but still took the step to buy a lib tech and i don't think i will ever go back to anything else! amazing board super fast and poppy and it has easily doubled my riding ability.
but if your ever at blue Neshawnp during the week i will gladly let you try my lib tech out for a few runs to see what its like.

+1.
Great bunch at Fathom.
They offered to let me demo the NOW IPO binding in addition to pretty much any of the boards they sell - and they have a very good selection from several top brands.

As for Mervin, I own (and ride each regularly) three Lib Techs. I don't think I"ll buy a board without magnetraction again, as I ride mostly in Ontario. AND, I really like the performance of each of the boards!

Capita and Union are having demo days around the area too.

Mar 2- Mont Cascade
Mar 4- Dagmar Mondays- Dagmar
Mar 9- Horseshoe Valley Open- Horseshoe
Mar 10- Mt. St. Loius Moonstone
Mar 14- Mt. St. Loius Moonstone

I myself was hoping to get out for the Burton demo days, but sadly could not attend. Hoping I can get out for the Capita days atleast... we'll see!

I totaly agree more companies need to have demoes. I would never buy a board without trying it out first since I have tried boards that on paper looked awesome but after riding it realized I don't even want another run on it.

Seems like the only brands I get to try around here are Burton, Capita and sometimes Endeveor. I ride burton and the gf rides capita, wonder why..

I would love to try mervin products but im not spending 500$ without trying it out first.

I wouldn't mind demoing Capita or Endevor. I think those would be fun boards to try.
If you want to demo a board just go to a shop that's local to whatever hill you ride and see if they demo mervin boards out! That's how I got to demo a mervin board.
