Hey all,
I'm looking to see if anyone has ridden or owns a 2009 rome agent? I'm thinking about buying one and just wanted to see what other people's opinion of it is. Is it more of a park board or a balanced combo of park and mountain and how does it compare with a skate banana? I also heard there are some quality issues with the 09 agent like top layer peeling. Any reviews would be appreciated
ive had my share of time on one, a good hour at least. its a sick board, nice and powerful, playful enough for park, stiff enough for mt. its a do everything board for sure.
thanks for the info i've heard mostly good things about them with the exception that there are some quality issues with the 09 model like top layer peeling and stuff like that i'm looking to buy a good balanced mountain/park board i think the agent will be good for that
yea i don't know too much about the banana but i've heard good things but I think ultimatley i'll go for an agent because I think it'll be good for what i want to do with it (70% mountain with about 30% park)thanks again
I done a lot of research on the agent and love what they say about it. I only hear good things about it. I'm gonna purchase one for next season. Get It!
I just have a question regarding sizing. I ride mostly groomers, like to ride fast and do around 10% park. I am 5"9 and 180 lbs. I bought a 156, is dat too long for me?
yeah u should be fine i got a 156 and im 6 foot with 135-140 lbs on me, its more like an all mtn. board for me, u may even want to go for the 158 or 160 at that weight if your only doing 10% park.
Thanks for your advise.
Other than Rome Agent, which board is good for 70% freeride (I started snowboarding in last year and find myself crazy love it, and will spend more time to practice in park in next season, so probably 30% in park)
i would deff contact rome bout the top sheet peeling, unless your riding on cheese gratters i dont think that is a normal thing with romes. my agent has like 20+ days on it with a perfect top sheet aside from it not being as shiny as it was out of the box lol
iv ridden custom 50% of all my time riding snowboard, i leard snowboariding on one..
the custom is my alltime fav board, i dont really like most ov burtons but the custom is just fantastic.
is abit directional and as quite a stiff flex for a freestyle(ish) board.
i feel more confident on high speed runs on my custom. for allmoutain riding the custom is king. if you want an allmoutain park board the agent is great, but i cant keep up with the custom for freeridng.
to be onist, if your doin mainly freeridng, why are you even considering the agent? the agent is for jibs and jumps all over the mountain.
that's exactely why I'm considering to get one! I was pretty confortable cruise around the mountains and started to have the desire to do some tricks while cruising the mountain.
I also thought my custom is great, fairly lite and stable at speeds. But felt a bit stiff to pop an ollie(I'm beginner in ollie) or press/butter at all.
I've tried doing boxes, small-large kickers couple times and totally loved it (when I didn't fall)
So, I was wondering if agent would make significant difference for me as a potential park funner in this department?!
