First, off this is not the advice thread. We certainly welcome questions and there are plenty of friendly people who are more than willing to help you out. Help us help you by posting these questions in the
General Board Talk in the
Snowboarding Equipment sub forum.
This is a section for reviews of anything snow related, be it boards, bindings, Goggles, boots, gloves, your Ipod; anything that relates to our sport. In addition, if you are looking for reviews about a particular piece of equipment, this is the place to ask. Be specific about a brand, model etc. The "what is a good park board" questions needs to be asked over in the advice section ( General Board Talk)
When reviewing equipment, keep it concise and to the point. Provide your readers with some important statistics such as weather and snow conditions, time of day, lighting, your riding ability and how you were performing on that day. Some of these things do not always apply, but you should try to give a decent picture of the whole environment that you were testing the equipment in. For an excellent example of a very decent review format, read The reviews that Burton Avenger has posted. Take your cue from his layout and try to use a similar format. This really helps people get a true feel for what was going on.
Lastly, when choosing a title of your thread, try to make it stand out by brand and model so that our search engine can easily find it later on. As an example, say you demo`d a Rome Agent snowboard and are writing a review, consider a title on the order of:
Review: 2009 Rome Agent That way anybody looking for reviews on a 2009 Rome Agent using keywords will be taken right to your review among others. With keyword searches, titles have a lot of significance.
By helping us keep things better organized, we can help you get your questions answered more efficiently....
