Default Burton x8

im looking to buy my first board.
would this be good?
is it to advanced or made just for the park?
just looking for some info or suggestions on other good beginner boards.

P.S. money is not really an object but its my first board so i dont really want to overdo it.

imo it would be a complete waste of money. especially in michigan where you dont need a board like that. a beginner would thrash that topsheet instantly not to mention.

Buy a forgiving board as a beginner, every company generally has a beginner model. Once you outgrow it (ability wise) treat yourself to the good shit.

You should look at the Rome Crail, or if you're really looking to go with a Burton, the Bullet would be a good first board. Neither of these boards will break the bank.

However, if you don't have boots yet you should start looking at a getting a good pair. You can buy a low-end board for progressing your first year or two and buy a new one down the road. You'll want good boots from day 1.
