I am going to compete in a boarderX competition soon and want to know if any one has any basic tips that might help me.

I have previewed the course and already ridden it a couple of times.

Looks like the next epic "big Mountain" movie...a place reserved to " FIrst Descent" for now on my shelf.
Some sequences on that movie are epic...but Deeper looks...DEEPER!
Can't wait to see it.

ANy other real good video I missed?

I have also: " It's always snowing somewhere" and "That's it, that's all", both really good.

Not interested in urban/park...I like to watch big jumops, but the stuff I really love is footage like Terjie coming down that face in Alaska...Rice pulling off a huge slide...Farmer doing his thing....

Does anyone else think we need a sticky or a theard just for your snow vehicles. And when I say this I mean tips on how to make it your local hill safe when driving through the snow. Tips on how to chain your tires, bring salt with you if you get stuck on the road, because some of us don't have awd-4wd car/trucks. Just saying

New Tires

Ordered some new AS Yokohama AVID ENVigor (W) for my WRX, theo Sumitomo HR + I had on were completely gone...they did fairly good on the snow last season, but wore up fast. ANyone using the same tire? Who actually has 2 sets of wheels with summer/winter tires?
I remember the amazing diffference I felt driving with new AS...the car was sticking to the icy road.

I thought you might all enjoying seeing the lengths we went to so we could snowboard in the South West of Australia where the average annual snowfall is 0 inches and the nearest ski field is 3500 kilometres away.

Hello there.
I am snowboarding for 2-3 years now and it's time to buy my own board & binds
any help would be nice.
i am 1.88cm - 71kg and boots number(US) 13
i don't have a specific style i just going down and when i have my chance i throw any trick.

i check Hero Snowboard | Burton Snowboards
and Cartel Binding | Burton Snowboards

any opinion on those 2?
any suggestion for something else?

I'd like to hear your plan about what you are going to do to maximize the number of days you will be spending on the slopes this year, if you have a plan, and I think you'll have one if you've got a brain and like to snowboard :)

I think I might to do the not very original: move to a mountain, look for a job there, shred until the Spring.

Im looking for advice on the best Snowboard shops in the northeast USA/Canada where you get the best advice, the best range and the best deals on gnowboards and gear. Are there any snowboard warehouses? I still might buy the board online, but the boots and bindings I want to try on and feel before I pay for them.

I will be driving around the US and Canada via the route below and want to stop in to a Snowboard shop to buy a board, boots, bindings, helmet and goggles. I want to stop at one shop and get a good deal on all this equipment. So I need a good range of stock, a place that can offer some advice and a place that has the buying power to offer good discounts. Im an intermediate, whole mountain boarder but have little knowledge on equipment so need someone to talk it over with.

Chicago - Niagara - Toronto - Algonquin National Park (Eganville) - Ottowa - Montreal - Quebec - White Mountain National Park - Boston - NYC
