Hey Guys!
I took a couple years off boarding and am coming back. My gf bought me this jacket. ![]() I currently have a pair of light gray pants which are still new and I can return, I'm fine with that color combo, but my pants don't actually zip or clip into the jacket, which is a super nice feature to have. So I was thinking of getting the matching pants: ![]() My concern is a few points: 1) +1 for grey pants: More conservative color...I'm not actually that great of a boarder...yes I can ride wherever the mountain takes me, Yes I have my Level 1 instructor certification, but I've never fully commited to trying to learn tricks, so I have never landed a 3 (I do take Medium kickers just to get some air). I actually want to learn this year to spin. 2) +1 for grey pants: For they are Gore-tex pro-shell as opposed to the khaki ones which are Performance Shell. Both are 3L though. 3) +1 for Khaki pants: They fit slightly baggier, so my azzpad might be more comfy in it (I need it for my tailbone) 4) +1 for the Khaki: They zip into my current jacket The Khaki ones do come in black, but I'm pretty anti black...(I'm talking color of pants here guys). Any opinions? I'd just like to chat about this ![]() Thanks! Last edited by gti303; 11-23-2011 at 12:39 PM. |

Your g/f has better taste, that mustardy colour actually goes with the blue. Grey pants are as bad as black, boring and generic!
You are lucky to have a g/f to dress you, I have seen some horrific colour combos on the hill. One guy had a white with black flecks jacket and bright yellow pants. Another guy had what looked like completely stained up ripped sagging yellow fireman pants, even the thrift store would not take those. Forget about snowboarding it's all about how you look.
