Has anyone looked into the game MAG? It comes out on th 26th and looks freakin sick. I have already reserved a copy anyone else gonna get in on the 256 player online matches?

PS3 only but I might check it out. It looks pretty good and I have a game to trade in so what the hell.

I read a few reviews on this today. I am going to have to play the demo before I pick it up. From what I read it doesn't sound all that great.

One of my coworkers downloaded the 1st beta when it was available and said the game was amazing. That was only the first beta since then they have added a lot of stuff and fixed lots of bugs from what i understand. Im really looking forward to this one myself

The game is really good now, so much so that I traded in my mw2 copy because I no longer want to play it. I was part of the beta testing and didn't really care for it and I just placed the game on my gamefly queue. To my surprise gamefly shipped it to me upon release and I was hooked after the second day. Just be warned that this game is not simple to learn and communication is key. The worst part of the game is the tutorial is horrible and you have to either hope your squad is very good and is willing to help you or to go searching online for advice.

On a side note, battlefield bad company 2 will be out soon and can be an alternative to mag if you find mag too difficult.

I agree that it is more difficult to learn than MW2. The cool thing about this game though is all you have to do is opt out of taking a leadership role and just follow what your told. Im also in the same boat when it comes to MW2 now. It just isn't fun to me anymore.

I picked it up the same day I got battlefield but haven't played it yet. I'll have to give it a try as I'm really getting tired of the BS from BFBC2

Yeah, its definitely advised not to seek a leadership position unless you are very familiar with the gameplay, objectives, and map layout. However I have to admit that I haven't touched the game since BFBC2 came out. BFBC2 is just so much better than any other shooter out now. It takes MW2 and MAG and combines them so well with the addition of vehicles and destruction.

If you want people to play mag with, head over to The PlayStation Show Podcast | It's not high definition, it's Higher. . They have a MAG group and get together to play. Great guys, and they have a pretty funny podcast.

I like to play the laid back match in MAG.. I forget what it's called it's the one where you only face people of the same team and the announcer says they're non lethal bullets blah blah blah. I find it more fun to lay around and ping people off from a far distance and MW2 has become ridiculous to many people play that all day.
