Race Driver Grid? - Snowboarding Forum

Ok I'm not much for video games but with the bike wreck and all I got the game Grid, and I have to say it's pretty amazing. Anyone else here play it? I haven't played Gran Turismo since the 3rd one, but this ranks right up there with it IMO.

I play it. Like it for the most part, although I'm starting to hate the LeMans races...

I think comparing it to Gran Turismo is hard though, since they go for completely different audiences (who might overlap granted). Grid is more about arcade style racing and Gran Turismo is a simulator. Both are fun.

Gran Turismo is great fun! Haven't played grid yet but might have a look at it now.

I'm not really a fan of arcade racers, but GRiD was a decent time-killer. I prefer Forza myself.

Since I haven't played GT since 3, I don't know if the later versions had car damage, but that made things a bit more fun for me with Grid. Sadly GT isn't on PC which I'm using to play.

True, although I've gotten the track down in my head now, but I'll take LeMans over trying to get Gold in the Gran Turismo licenses

I picked it up for the 360 and have it on the PC as well. I've always really liked the Codemasters racing games ever since ToCA Race Driver 2 and this is basically it's replacement. Their Rally games are also slick.

That said, I'll still play rFactor on the PC for it's realistic physics or Gran Turismo because I'm way too addicted.

Gran Turismo 4 does not have any car damage unfortunately. Still a great game.
Gran Turismo 5 is supposed to have car damage (performance and visual for standard cars, performance, visual, and parts falling off for premium cars) and rollovers. Much needed I think.

Totally agree with you on those damn licenses! Worst part about losing the saved game data.

Lol, that and the endurance races in GT, I remember goofing around with other cars during a 2 hour or so race....only to realize I was in 2nd when I crossed the finish line

rfactor is by far the best race sim on PC that doesn't have a monthly payment. Forza is awesome for 360 and I have yet to loose vs. someone while I am sober
