Default Dead Space 2

Dead Space 2 was released today. Anyone else pick it up? I'm only a couple hours into the Single player campaign and am really enjoying it. It has the same feel as the original. Haven't really played any multiplayer yet though.

Comments? Thoughts?

Did they fix some of the stupid controls, clipping, the tiny ass text on text logs, and other problems?

Amazing game. No clipping issues. Played and beat it on PC. Working again on hardcore difficulty. You can save 3 times total. Insane fights. Every time you die you restart at your last safe. Freaking rediculous. Must Play Game.

I find they made the controls easier to deal with, for example; you can now reload by pressing just X, not LT then X like the first game.
When it comes to actual game play compared to the first. It is great. There is a lot more action and more of what I felt were "Oh shit!" moments. It seems more fluid and less linear than the first, because every chapter doesn’t end by going to a tram station.
The multiplayer doesn’t really appeal to me, but I would chalk that up to personal preference. It feels like some kind of shtick they just added for the hell of it. But the campaign is amazing as it should be with a game like Dead Space.
If you're a fan of the first than I would highly recommend the second instalment. Not to mention when Isaac's helmet does the Ironman thing, it's bad ass.
They've also annouced a DLC coming out for it.
In "Severed", gamers will be playing as Gabe Weller, a security guard from the Sprawl (featured in Dead Space Extraction), the events of the DLC run parallel to Isaac's story in Dead Space 2.

The first game renewed my faith in survival-horror games. I haven't gotten to play the 2nd yet, but I really want to.

Dead Space 2 is pretty damn good. I guess the retail is still a bit expensive since it hasn't changed a whole lot since the first one. Given that, I really really like the game, the new environments and lighting are particularly nice. Gameplay is pretty much the same, but if you loved Dead Space 1 you'll probably love Dead Space 2. I finished it over the weekend and am playing it through again with all my upgraded weapons.

Dude you've gotta check out 'Amnesia: The Dark Decent'. Easily the scariest game I've played IMO. The game engine isn't going to win any awards for graphics or physics, but man it's really really scary. I've had the game for maybe 9 months and I'm still less than half-way through, it's hard to get the courage to play a long session... Way scarier than being mid-air of a kicker and knowing you're gonna have a yardsale

I haven't played the first one but Dead Space 2 is is a very solid game. Some of the gratuitous violence / gore did bother me a little bit.
Alan Wake was also a good one. Pretty scary but less messed up than DS2.
