So I am debating whether to get the game. I read some great reviews in some sites, but I am not yet sold on it. I was wondering if anyone here has personally tried the game and if so what are your opinions on it?
I am not about to dispose $60 for a crappy game. Done that plenty of times, now I rather do my research before buying any game. |

as per every single release in this series, this game farking rawks!
i have not played it, but have read industry reviews / press releases and heard from friends as well as viewed stuff on it. buy it. the coppers are ruthless in the game and when in a sports car, it is more like a racing game. the renditions of the city, based on genuine boroughs of new york are true to life. you cannot lose. to lend credence to these above opinions..... i have one question (as i have the PS2 right now) whcih (along with GTA4) should i buy? 360 or PS3??

I picked it up and am really liking it. The driving is pretty good but the car seems to get out of control fairly quick. That's probably the only thing I would change.
As far as the 360 vs PS3 debate. If you are really into racing games I would go with PS3. I just got one and it is great for GT5. Other than that, the 360 is my main game console and it is alright. I'm sure you can find a million opinions telling you to go in either direction. |

i play pretty much only racer games and NHL. the wife likes the blood lust slasher things like manhunt etc..... GTA is the one thing we both enjoy equally. i have heard PS3 is the stronger set up, but at double the cost of the 360... price can be quite a convincing factor too! cheers maf

My big thing is racing games as well but wanted a 360 for several FPS games that were really good. I tried a few racing games with a driving wheel on 360 and they absolutely sucked. The wheel didn't work well at all. I will keep my driving games on the PS3.
I did get GTA for the 360 though. I was told there will be more downloadable content for 360 VS. PS3. |
