Yeah they definitely needed a new FPS to milk us out of more money, especially people like me who didn't really find that COD4 was worth the money in the long run.
Personally I wish someone would come out with a new game along the ines of Battlefield 2, I literally played that game for over 2 years. I'm surprised that most of the multiplayer war games don't include the ability to create squads and spawn on your squad leader like BF2 did. I find when I play multiplayer with friends on the same map its hard to coordinate and stay together since one of you will die, spawn back at the start and then everyone gets staggered about on the map. IF CODWAW had that feature I'd be able to convince my friends to buy it today.

you can do that on Resistance 2, Perp. in the bigger battles with 40-60 people, players are placed into teams of 5. each mini-team has their own objectives to do on the battlefield. and if somebody dies, you generally respawn just behind the current position / area your team is in.
I wish I had more time for COD online. mainly been playing war, headquarters and domination. capture the flag is frustrating against clans with high rankings. they've figured out all the best sniper spots and so are very quick to pick you off as soon as your head pops up anywhere. tis difficult to reach the other flag or recover your own. and what the hell is that when the screen sort of freezes and becomes all dark and blurry for several seconds, you can't really move... rendering you vulnerable to enemy fire? I'm trying to figure out what weapon / grenade has that effect.. |

Played BF2 for years as well, always enjoyed the large maps for jets/tanks/heli and squad work. COD 4, PC anyhow, was a real letdown for me. I played COD1 for a long time before getting out of it and that was way better with the large maps, they made these way too small IMO. As for COD5 I haven't touched the PC in some time, been stuck to XBOX360 for GoW. I personally would prefer first player shooter games on the PC, much easier to be accurate with the mouse instead of the controller and move around IMO. Not sure if I'd buy it for a console or not. |

I don't know why ppl are bitching about it, best game I've played for shooting in a while, esp on console. GoW my bro and I play horde multi player version all the time, never gets old. Some people complain on the multiplayer against other people I guess, haven't tried that much. The horde multiplayer is addicting, the story line kicks ass, and co-op campaign was fun as hell. Def one of the best games of the year

Yea that's one huge downfall to the xbox 360, the repairs cost almost as much as a new system now near 150 to 200 you can get them for, and you have to pay pretty much near 100 for repairs. My bro sent his in a few weeks ago back, not too happy.
