Yeah, I have an M3 Discord, and it was my first board (first one I bought anyway). I love that board although I've outgrown it in a number of ways. It is a stiff board, front to back and side to side so it helps beginners hold an edge really well, and I still like it for going fast on the hard crust, and love it for deep powder. Part of my problem is that I'm about 5'11" +- and it's a 161.5 so I think I went to big on it, but it was a slice of heaven compared to my VERY first board, a Burton Bullet 164. I would never tell a new person not to buy an M3 Discord, but I would advise against seasoned and experienced riders to buy one, because it just doesn't give you what you need once your skills really progress (I'd consider myself intermediate, or just under that). It looks like from the Ebay ad that you won the item. I think you may be disappointed in the boots just because you haven't tried them on, and that's a recipe for disaster. I ride Burton Ion boots and they are super comfy. My first pair of bindings came with my discord as well, Agency 32-11c or whatever they are called. I broke two of the straps as a beginner within 5 trips, bought some Ride Spis and I haven't had desire to check out any other bindings since. I've never ridden those bindings you got, but I'm sure they will be fine. If you get out here on your trip and have an equipment failure, let me know, and you can use my stuff for a day or two. I'd bring some cash with you to rent boots just in case yours don't fit. If your feet hurt, you will hate snowboarding.
With all that said, the board I ride dominantly now was made by
Sined Snowboards and it is absolutely sick, the most durable and responsive board I've ridden to date.
