Default Tough decision..Please read

Yo, pickin' up a new board this year and I'm very excited about dropping 500 bucks for one . I'm from the East coast, about 5'11" and weigh 160 lbs. I mostly ride park but also enjoy bombing some slopes. I'm and intermediate rider can throw some back 9's in the park. Now to the boards..some I've been looking at are some of the new lib's like the skate banana and some never summer. Any suggestions?

Rome Machine is good and so is the Atomic Hatchet. The Forum Destroyer has been good to me but I don`t know how it has cahnged since Burton took over.

Agreed on the Rome Agent...solid board, kinda pricy but thats what you get when you want quality!

I think that both the Agent and the Machine fit the bill for you. Do you stick mostly to the jumps and pipe and what not and only dabble slightly in rails, boxes. etc. Or do you utilize the whole park equally. If you sticking mainly to the jumps you might be a little better of using an Agent over the Machine, the Machine is a softer board and more geared towards jibbing than jumping.

banana/magne traction takes a day of getting used to, but once you've got it it's simply bananas, pun intended of course. i haven't had a chance to hit any good sized jumps yet, but hitting random kickers with terribly flat lz's, i've been having fun as landings are always solid and stable. can't quite spin myself yet, but the board's been really fun to ride, even at my level.
