i bought a cheap board just to begin with.. its just for this season since i am improving.. i ride regular at 15/0 but i am going to try duck 15/-15 next time out.. because i want to learn switch while still in my early stages of riding...
anyway my question is how can i tell if my board is directional or twin... and is it really bad to ride duck on a directional if it is? i have a 24/7 bones board.. i dont know the year but its 158cm i 5'10 165 ,
thanks for your time
its twin but its too big for you. id suggest a 154 or a 152... you will get more flex more pop faster/better response and itll be easier to learn switch on... and you ride the same stance as me... i LOVE it!
see i wanted to go a little smaller or same size when i get a new good board... but im not a terrain park guy.. i like freeriding the mountain.. doing jumps tricks an all on natural made stuff i find .. if you know what im talking about.. lol.. the length i was thinking go to 159 i know longer = more speed.. but what does shorter mean. i know more flex and pop but what about control an turning? also i first rode front at 15/0 i havent gone yet with this duck stance but i set it already at 15/-9
It seems to me the shorter is more responsive and easier to handle. Im 6'0" 180 I have a 157 lib tech and a 161 lib tech. The shorter is more snappy and responsive
