Default I hate these type of posts, but I'll just add to the problem

Ok, something I just sold on eBay just went for WAY more $$ than I was expecting. Hence, it's for more winter goodies.

I'm looking to add another deck to my quiver, and need some advice on the below freestyle decks. I’m trying to go as short, as soft, and as light as I can get away with, while taking into considering the following riding factors:

-Terrain park
-Large feature jumps, but nothing huge.
-Mellow (speed-wise) all-mountain freestyle riding (i.e. lots of jumps, butters, side-trail features, etc.).

I have a Never Summer, System 155 (GREAT deck!), that is twin-freestyle deck, but it’s a touch stiff. I’m looking for something smaller/buttery. The NS is slowly becoming my all-mountain board. Anyway, here is my list:

K2: Anagram 152, WWW 152
Ride: Kink 152
Rome: Artifact 150
Forum: Manual 150
Burton: Dom 150, Blunt 151

My concern about the Artifact/WWW is that they are too soft for jumps, and/or will be all over the place if I ry to ride them anywhere outside of the park, even w/o speed. Also, the Blunt 151 is a touch iffy. The weight range maxes out at 155. I am 157, without all my gear on.

Thanks in advance.

i'd actually recomend the rome graft 151. its basically an upgraded form of the artifact with a little more torsional stiffness. it is a little more expensive than the others though. in regards to the www (my future deck) has that whole longer effective egde deal which means its supposed to handle like a deck 5cm longer, as you may already know. So even though the www is buttery, it will handle well on booters and the rest of the mountain. again if you can handle a little more $$, check the santa cruz jon kooley 151, my friend rides one and can butter the living crap out it, and still hit 65 footers. Good luch and happy riding

Yeah, there *is* a reason why I am on the low-end of the $pectrum.

I demo'ed a WWW like two weeks ago from the pro-shop at my local mountain. The edges were *gone* so I couldn't get a true grasp of how well it held when riding 'elsewhere.' The park was also close at the time, I so didn't get a chance to hit any larger jumps with it. That said, it was a really fun board.

My picks out of those would be the Dominant and the Artifact. I like the Dominant a little more because it is a hint less flexy than the Artifact. Both Artifact and WWW are going to be prety squirly outside of the park. I know for a fact that the Artifact is way soft and have heard the same about the www so I would say your assumption is fairly accurate. The Arti and the WWW are more jib decks than all freestyle.

I think from Rome you should go with a Graft over an Artifact. For the kind of riding you are looking to do I think the Artifact is a little to soft.

Ok, Artifact is out. People are confirming my concerns about it. The Graft *was* in my "maybe" list until I saw the price tag.

The Artifact is one of the best jib/street boards on the planet, but it isn't a great board for hitting big air or hauling ass. Thats just not its purpose.

Oh, no doubt that it is one of the best decks for that purpose. That is why you see so many of them in the park, and no where else. I'm just looking for a little more diversity...not much, just a little!

Lib Tech?? Mine is really soft. I know its not on the list but if I were to pick one from the list it would be the Graft my friend rides one its really nice and soft. He spends most of his time in the park on the jumps

Graft wasn't actually on the list, for the same reason Lib Tech wasn't: too much $$. But since so many ppl seem to be dropping the Graft, maybe I should just save a bit and wait.
