Default strapped in ankle hurts on lift...

Hi, I have my front bidding set at 15 and I ride fine like that..but on the lift I get pain right on the ball that sticks out on my ankle on the side from the board hanging...having the other side of the board supported with my free foot does not help. Do you think if I switched it to 12 and rode 12 -6, that it might help...I don't get any discomfort while I ride...thanks for any insight...Ben

I have the same problem, but supporting it with my other foot does help somewhat. Also I've found loosening my bindings a tad for the ride helps aswell. Overall its very annoying and so far I've kinda just dealt with it, a solution would be awesome. It's my only chronic snowboarding pain.

Just different bindings with more ankle cushion. I don't think changing your stance angle will help a lot and it wouldn't be worth it to change what your used to riding. Maybe invest in some high dollar bindings with super squishy comfy straps. Flows are also supposed to adress this problem as they don't have any pressure points.

yea, just throw your other boot under the board to help support it if you can, thats what I do.

Instead of sticking your boot under the edge, try putting it under the heelcup. It works just the same, if not, better, and it saves your laces.

I do that, but for some reason it really does not help much...I still get a pretty sharp pain....

Try not cranking the strap so tight, either?

I ride Flows and they are really comfortable. I ride em kinda loose but in the park I tighten em down a lil bit. They have no pressure points and I have never had my feet go to sleep because of being too tight. Maybe try em out??
