I'm thinking of buying some 2007 Missions to throw on my new GNU 11up. I've read some pretty good things about Missions on this site and others and really like the cap strap. I'm mostly freeride/freestyle, but never do the pipe or rails. I love riding fast and hitting natural jumps.

Anyone know if the 2007 model is solid? Most of what I've read is for the 2008 model, I assume.

I can get the 2007 model for $109 or the 2008 model for $139. I like the color of the 07 better, but just not sure how different the two years are.

Yea, I just read the "Bindings Opinion Thread" again. I forgot about reading that a while ago. I have read about them breaking at times (probably from this forum) but wasn't sure how much of it was just Burton Bashing vs. a legit problem.

I would go with something higher up than the missions, I tried them on in the shop and wasn't too impressed, the cartels or p1's felt much better although I still prefer Rides to any of the Burton's.

when did you get them from dicks'?

They are good bindings, though the higher up bindings (cartels, p1s, etc.) are quite a bit more comfortable with better padding on the straps.

I would also look into Bent Metal bindings. I love the shit out of my Biscuits.

For reals, we need to start disguising threads that have the name burton in it.
