Default oLD SCHOOL TO THE NEW STUFF!

Hey everyone. quick question. I have just started back into snowboarding. The thing is, I got a new board with new bindings figuring I would wear my old boots!!!! Painful!!!!! What gives? It never hurt back in the mid 90's! the bindings seem too high!!! is that it?
Thanks for any input!
Jim

How old are your boots? My friends "old school" snowboarding boots were no more than a pair of Sorel snowboots with a special liner installed to be a little stiffer than regualar snowboots. They didn't cut the mustard when bindings became stiffer and more responsive and hurt his feet. I'd get a new pair of boots if I was you, they have come a long way.

It's not just that the boots are 16 years old it's that your feet are 16 yrs older as well.

Whoa Whoa Whoa....don't go cutting your brand new highbacks down to fit your 16 year old boots, rent a new pair of boots and see what you think. I would reccomend just buying some. Like I said boots have come a LONG way.
