The Rome Arsenals are a great binding and are Rome`s least expensive. They are a no frills basic binding that has virtually the performance of their more expensive line without extra padding and features. They are the siffer model and their highbacks are a little shorter and wider, made out of a stiffer material than the 390 or Targa. I personally prefer the Arsenal for off piste and backcountry than my 390`s for the extra support. The 390`s are a little more comfortable for me though.

The Solution is an economy board from Rome that really does everything reasonably well, but as with any true "all mountain" board it is`t going to master any one task. They are good boards for people on a budget and I also have not heard of any patterns of problems with these boards. Any board can have a manufacturing defect; it may not mean the the entire line is bad. Rome is good about customer service and warranty.

Try to check out Hillcrest or Gorge Performance if you can before buying at the big retail chain; it is nice to support local Portland businesses when you can..

Ah, those prices are discount, so MSRP would probably be a lot higher. I can also purchase my stuff in October for great prices at the snowboard and ski expo.

With this in mind, can I get 3-5 boards/bindings that would fit my needs that are about 700 MSRP total? I need 3-5 because the expo might be sold out of some and I need a strong second choice. Thanks a lot!

Agent is an all mountain board, so it's like 50/50 mountain/park.

Rome 390s are $95 at activerideshop.

Boards I'd suggest - a Gnu CHB MTX, Salomon Prospect, and maybe a Rome Graft

Three boards I also considered before I bought the Agent.
