well i guess in conclusion.... having magne when you need it will make you very happy. having magne when you don't need it, won't make any difference. altho i am unsure how easy it would be to sharpen / deburr the wavy edges yourself....
of course the real consideration ought to be the tried and tested variables.... board length, profile, stiffness (and maybe weight).
if you need one plank for all conditions, i reckon you will find a more appropriate board without magne than with (as magne appears on the minority of products). if you can afford / accommodate more than one plank tho.... get a shorter than usual magne for your icy / park days. Lib Tech was nice... the travis pro model.
