i'm sorry if this has already been addressed but i'm new to the forum and joined mainly to ask this question.
I want to get into snowboarding.
i'm 6'2 and about 275 pounds.
i know this may present difficulties but i don't care.
i need to know what's a good board to get. i also would need help picking out boots/bindings. (i'm really clueless)
i have size 14 feet which may also present a problem. can anyone help me pick out some gear that would be appropriate for someone my size?!?!?!
thanks a ton.

i'm also not going to be riding a super large amount (as i live hours from the closest area) so in a good budget would also be helpful. even though i'm aware my options are probably limited due to my size.
okay so i've picked out a burton custom ICS board that's 72W
2008 Burton moto boots size 14
2009 flow flite 2
totaling $745.91
how does that sound?
there's also a 2007 burton triumph that's much cheaper but its 169cm. would that be too small? i'd much rather save a couple big ones if that would work.
someone should respond soon. i'm looking to buy asap.

also is stepping a little outside of the price range. it's probably going to end up being an early christmas present so the most affordable fatty board would be bomb.
Hells yeah. Its a pretty stiff board, a 169 would work just fine. I have a buddy that is 270 and uses a 164 length board. He handles that well. A 169 would be ideal, I'm not sure you would want anything longer. The longer the board the higher the speed, but the Titan is a damn fast board anyway.
okay. i'll narrow it down to 169. it seems like that will also expand my options as far as board choices go. thanks. any opinions on the bindings and boots?
YOu could check out the Nitro magnum as well. Thats a big wide board and can had for around 200 if you get last years model. As for boot you are going to have to find a place and try some on. There is no other way around that.
I would not get flows for your size of foot. They can rip off the back of you boot. I have L flow bindings and a size 10 womens/ 9 mens and they riped the back of my mens boots off. I would go with a norm cinch binding. I really the Butron Mission bindings, they have an awesome hold on your boot and the toe strap is AWESOME.
