Initial build quality impressions are good. The Uno is a lot flexier than I expected. I put on some Ride EXs. Hoping to try out soon with a final trip of the season.

If anyone has experience with the Never Summer SL and the Uno I'd be very interested to hear how it compares.
Did you take that trip? How did it go?

Yes, we went up to Sugarloaf.

My basic impressions:

Fast. Stable at speed. Holds excellent edge. However, the edge to edge response felt unpredictable. I couldn't ride the setup into that sweet spot. I think it was a function of the bindings being too stiff.

I actually brought Salomon chiefs bindings with me. Too stiff and choppy for this board. I think something softer for a surfier feel would have been a better decision.

Interesting. Thanks.

if anybody interested they drop the price of the 2012 model to 100$ and add the 40% to that and get the board for $60 bucks.

YES, 60$

Only catch is you cant use the code and or get free shipping if it is under 150$. not sure of all the combo , but i just bought 3 uno for 180 in size 158 for friends.

you really can't loose.

I love offseason sales

So I skipped work and got in some runs at Killington. Pretty much only one trail open and extremely soft and mogully.

I put Flux TT30s on the Uno, fresh wax, and it was incredible. The Fluxes are a great match. I got the control I was looking for but didn't get from the stiffer Salomon bindings. All the other qualities (speed, edge hold) from my past review still apply. I'm very happy.

I know its not the same board (focus) but I cannot wait to try out mine this weekend up at Beartooth pass. not sure if the focus is like the SL on NS since it has the CRC and its directional twin. I'll have my NX2-AT on them and hope it matches.

The Uno is a true twin shape but with the inserts set back, like the SL. It looks like the Focus is a directional twin shape but no setback.

In any event, I think the Focus is supposed to be stiffer so your NXTs should be a decent match. Report back!

[EDIT: I would suggest bringing a spare pair of softer bindings, if you have them. The unfortunate part about these boards is that there isn't a lot of institutional knowledge about how they perform. On the UNO, the Salomon Chiefs with the stiff frame and highback completely over powered the UNO making transitions twitchy and unpredictable. The Fluxes have more flex all around so transitions became more gradual and predictable.]
