I want a good snowboard and boot so I dont have to change it when I get good, but I dont want to spend a lot of money! btw should I buy the lift tickets online? there is any kind of promotion ( Im going with my family-5persons, and staying 6 days) and 3 of them are students(in brazil) is there any discount for students?

How long will you be up in Mammoth?

Boots, you have to try them on. Look up all the snow shops in LA and Sports Chalet and REI etc. and go try boots on. You need to try them on.

Did I mention you need to try the boots on?

If you have an address in the US to ship to the best deals are going to be last years stuff. Since this is your first time you can find a good board and binding combo for $300.

You can also go visit the local shops in Mammoth and just talk to the folks and tell them your budget but that is more of a risk.

Im planning to stay in mammoth for 6 days (5nights) there is any promotion for students ( I study, but in brazil)? the only thing I need to buy to ride in the resort is the lift ticket right?? one last thing: can u reccomend a snowboard for me? Im a fast learner , and I dont want to change the board when I get good at it, and only planning to ride in resorts. and the boots? I know i have to try them, but there are any suggestions? I will really try to buy the TWC since Im a whites fan (as long as is not too expensive) the TWC is a really good line of snowboard things right?

When I was up in Mammoth, a shop that I didn't think was to bad was Wave Rave. They are local but one of the bigger shops, they always have discounts though. They have online ordering and shipping
