Default First time snowcat trip?

So I'm thinking about a trip next year to introduce myself to powder via snowcat. Some concerns that I have:

1- I'm from the midwest so outside of a day at Breck where it snowed about 4" overnight I don't have much pow riding experience. I consider myself an advanced intermediate rider but since I don't really have any pow riding experience would a snowcat excursion make sense? Is anyone aware of a snowcat operation that caters to someone new to pow riding?

2- Will my LibTech TRice work well enough on one of these excursions or would I be better off getting a pow specific board? I'm 5-8" 180lbs and have a 157 - is it too short for pow riding?

You will love it, guaranteed. If you are an intermediate-advanced rider (would classify myself that way as well) you will pick it up in no time flat. The place I went cat riding was at castle mountain, fairly powder beginner friendly. My girlfriend was like you and had never ridden pow like that before, but she had a blast and was keeping up as well as she does on the rest of the mountain. Also of note she was riding her gnu b-pro (i guess you could say a very similar women's deck to the t.rice), and had no issues. I rode my 157 turbo dream (more pow specific but not by much) and I am the same weight at 6'1 so I don't foresee any issues with riding the t. rice (travis sends it all over the world on that deck).
Long story short, GO FOR IT! don't worry about the board, set the bindings back a little for better float and commence shredding.
