My friends and I are planning a trip to Colorado and are trying to figure out if we should go somewhere new or stick with what we know. We have been to Vail, Breck, and Telluride but this year we are looking at Steamboat and were wondering how it stacks up to the resorts mentioned. Any feedback would be great. We are all intermediate to advanced riders (love trees and steeps). Will lap the park a few times but not really a selling point for the group more into freeriding. Thanks again.
Tree riding at Steamboat is arguably the best in Colorado. Steeps? Not so much. Then again, if you called Vail steep (it's not at all), Steamboat is steeper. It's a nice mountain and one of the better ski towns in Colorado. They also tend to get a ton of snow. So check it out if you like.
