Does anyone know the best way to plan a good snowboarding trip?
I have only been with other people who have planned everthing and this year im doing the organising. Is it generally cheaper to get a package deal including flights, accom, hire car, lift tickets etc or organise it all seperatly? Im looking to go to Queenstown NZ from Brisbane Aus. Has anyone had a bad experience with a package? or recommend the best way you have organised a holiday? Thanks Gem |

I've found organizing separately is easier since you get to pick exactly what you want to do and where you go. It can't be easier nowadays, with the internet you don't even have to leave the room.
you could also save quite a bit by emailing a motel and asking for group discounts. Also i think jetstar have pretty cheap flights too. It is a bit squeezy but you could put up with it for 3 hours if it means you can afford to stay an extra day or two on the mountain! |

look into ski express Ski and Snowboard New Zealand, Canada, and the USA with Ski Express Australia
i booked a tour with them in queenstown and i thought it was a great deal. included 2 nights lodging (you get to choose what kind, i chose hostel), transfer to the ski fields, lift tickets for 3 days at coronet or remarkables (up to you), unlimited rentals, unlimited lessons. look for the 'gold' package. i think mine was $335 NZD. flights are separate though.. i found a decent priced flight through quantas. |
