Default summit county CO hostel reccomendations

Flying into Denver early April, 3 days to ride. I want to do this trip as cheaply as possible. Would like to ride anywhere except Breck, because I've spent enough time there for now.

Public transit sounds cheap, but I can rent a small car for close to what a shuttle would cost me round trip to get to summit county and back from DIA. Of course the question that comes to mind is if I'll be screwed trying to get around in a ford focus....?

I want to save money and buy lift passes ahead of time, so vail resorts are appealing because of the options..

If anyone has any hostels or other cheap lodging they could recommend I would really appreciate it.

Thanks a lot.

There's the Bivy and Fireside Inn that's it for hostels. Transit is free up here and will get you to A basin, Keystone, Copper, and Breck.

Yep, there's some shuttle services from DIA to Summit County. Not sure of the cost.

60 to 80 depending on who you use and whether it's direct or just to a transfer center to catch the bus.

thanks guys.

the bivy looks pretty nice... fireside's a lil cheaper tho.

I guess with the cost of gas to put in a rental car it would be cheaper to use a shuttle and the free bus.

hope things are good for you. I could have brought you from Denver and my condo in Silverthorne has 25 guest fees. If you ride on the 6th let me know where
