Vail or Breck on Saturdays

So, I'm heading out to Colorado this weekend and will be snowboarding Friday - Sunday. We brought the 3 day pass at Breck which allows you to snowboard at another resort for one of the days.

Our initial thought was that we would go to Breck Friday and Sunday and Vail on Saturday. However, my cousin told me to go to Vail on Friday as it will be packed on Saturday.

Just wanted to get some thoughts from those people on the forums who frequent these mountains. I only make it out here once a year due to the fact that I'm on the east coast, so I'd like to maximize my time if possible.

Appreciate any input.

Key to enjoying vail on the weekend or Busy days in general.

Get on first load of lifts. Go to the backside, get to bluesky around 930(10 on a pow day is when it opens). Ride there until 11, go back for some laps on chair 10 then back across to the village or lions head. Don't stop for lunch, just leave early around 2 and eat then.

Oh and they will both be packed but there is more space for the 22k people to spread out at vail than at breck....

Thanks for the feedback, fellas. I know it will be packed, but not much I can do with work getting in the way. I've been to Breck the last two years, but this will be my first time going to Vail. Sounds like we'll be hitting Vail on Saturday.
