Default Where to Drink (and eat!) In Jackson, WY

Hello All,

Taking my first trip out to Jackson Hole with some friends in a week or two. Staying at the "Lodge at Jackson Hole" in the town of Jackson. Anybody have recommendations/local favorites for good beer and good food that won't cost us an arm and a leg? We've got to eat for 4 nights so the more recommendations, the better. Also, is there a quality local brewery? I make it a habit to drink a few of the local brews whenever I'm away from home.

Cheers guys!

Snake River Brewery is there. They make my favorite IPA. Ironically, its more expensive in Jackson than at liquor stores in other places in Wyo. They make ok food as well. As far as eating, a lot of places will cost you an arm and a leg but Id definitely go to McPhails. Its a Burger/steak/sandwich place on the South end of town. 15 bucks will get you an amazing sandwich with fries. There is a fair amount of fast food to keep your costs down as well.

Hey bud! Jackson is an amazing place. You're gonna have a blast. My friend is the front desk manager of your hotel. Its a good spot. There is a bar called Eleanor's right behind your hotel that has the best wings in town (honey garlic are badass) and its located in the back half of a liquor store. lol

Other must hit spots are

The Bird - Tuesdays are half price wings and beer, Thursday is half price wings beer and schnitzel. Call them and have them send the shuttle "the bird bus" its free to and from your spot. Good thing cause they have strong german beers and its located a little out of the way south of town. Worth a visit for sure. Usually a good amount of locals on those days too which makes it fun.

Thai me up - amazing food. So good. Probably my favorite spot in town. Not too pricey and they make their own beer.

Pica's - good little Mexican place with strong margaritas.

Million Dollar Cowboy Steakhouse (downstairs from the bar) - $7 burgers and a free PBR from 5:30 - 7. If you go check out the stuffed Grizzly Bear in the bar. Some local dude killed it with his bear hands after it attacked him. Bit it in the Jugular. LOL!

As mentioned before Snake River Brewery is pretty good. Pacos is the local favorite beer of theirs. Its a 6.8 abv IPA

I work at the mountain and can probably get a hold of some employee discount vouchers too if you wanna buy em. Its getting close to the end of the season and I know some people who have a bunch left. It'll save you $25 a day for lift tickets or so if you wanna pick em up PM me.

Have fun!

Thank you guys for the tips

Lifted - Thank you for your hospitality. We bought our lift tickets via the hotel in a package deal otherwise I'd be sure to take you up on your offer. I wish I'd have made this thread sooner!

Can't wait to get my hands on that IPA! (Can't get enough hops, and they always seem to taste better after a day on the slopes, too)
