Weather in Aspen, Eagle CO this weekend?

We're heading out to Aspen for Friday & Saturday riding and hitting Vail or Beaver for a half day coming back on Sunday... I saw the forecast for Aspen was 45 degree high on Saturday, any thoughts on how that would be on the mountains? Is that going to be all slushy or is it quite a bit colder at altitude? We haven't bought our tickets yet so we could always hang out somewhere else on Saturday if it's better conditions further east.

I hope this is the right forum for this, I didn't see a more suitable forum.

The storms will have rolled through by the weekend. Thursday looks to be the last day of any snow fall until the start of next week. Overall, any powder goodness is probably going to have been schralped up by the time you get there. You may find a stash or two here or there. You stand a better chance of finding those stashes at the Aspen area hills than you do at Vail/Beaver Creek. North facing stuff should hold snow decently enough. The warmer temps shouldn't have much of an effect on the snow on those faces by then. Overall I think Snowmass would the spot for finding some good snow. Go up high and hike back into the cirque there is probably going to be your best bet.
