Colorado, which sites have the best hotel deals?

Hey all, Iím about to plan a last minute trip to Colorado. Looking to do it on the cheap. Looking for the advice of CO locals. Where do you look for deals on places when you decide to stay for the weekend? Are the typical travel websites the best option?

Go stay in Salida and shred Monarch (25minutes). Easy to goto CB for variety.

or

stay in Georgetown and shred Loveland(15min). Winter Park, Abasin, Copper, Breck and Keystone all relatively close for variety.

Hard to do multiple days on the cheap at the bigger mountains if you didn't pick up a season pass early, hence the Monarch and LUV suggestions, lower day tix $$.

Georgetown and Salida are also cheap on lodging compared to slopeside resorts or Summit County or Vail.
