Hello everyone I am heading back to Utah this winter for a couple of weeks and my buddy and I have been talking about driving to Jackson Hole while we are in Utah. Google Maps says it is around 5 hours away from Park City my question is has any of you guys driven there during the winter? How was the drive? Do we need chains?

Reason: can not spell
Took the all-trans shuttle from salt lake to jackson last year in january....pretty good driving conditions, chains were not needed in my opinion. But I also live in alaska, GO TO JACKSON!!! sick resort
Drove from SLC to Jackson in December last year. You shouldn't need chains but make sure you've got a decent set of tyres. The pass can be pretty icy depending on the weather. And make sure your heater works, ours shat itself about 50 miles before Idaho Falls and it was absolute torture.

Thanks for the replies guys. How long did it take to get there from Salt Lake? I think the plan is to get up in the am and drive up hopefully ride a half day sleep somewhere (not sure where yet any help with that would be cool) then get up and ride that day and maybe head back to Park City that night.
