Me and my buddy went to taos today and were pretty much poaching all morning. Then we decided to do some slack country off the north ridge but to get there we had to go through a closed part of the ridge. upon returning the ski patrol pulled my buddy aside and revealed a picture they had of him in the closed area. Then they pulled his pass. I somehow avoided the camera. The patrol were very secretive about the camera and refused to tell us about it. We learned about it later from some dude at the bar who worked at taos.
anyway as we all know taos is not the most progressive resort so I'm sure there are other resorts using them. Which is quiet frankly BS. So please share any experiences or intel you guys/gals have regarding these implementations of big brother in the ski area.

Stay in bounds?

I can't say I blame the resorts. They don't want to waste their time dragging idiots who got in over their heads from the out of bounds areas.

See the thing is that it doesn't prevent people from going out of bounds because its done in secret. People will still get in over their heads. It just gets those people who don't in trouble.
Poaching is all about personal responsibility and understanding consequences but I don't want this thread to be about the merits of cutting lines. We can start a new topic to discuss that so, let's stay on this topic
