Last Minute CO trip

Looking at putting together a last minute 3 day trip to CO April 30th - May 3rd.

Anyone else down? They just got dumped on so I'm thinking some spring riding could be fun.

I have a word limit on my cynicism

The last two weeks have been unreal. If you ride Loveland I'll be there. May 3rd is actually Lovelands closing day so you'd be there for a party.

P.S. Bring that girl in your avatar!

When the fuck did we get ice cream?

Mooz, it's looking like you may have made a great choice. We are in the crosshairs right now and the outlook for more snow is solid through the middle of April. I wouldn't be surprised if we are in a decent snow cycle into the first week or two of May.

Last weekend may have been the best one of these season for blower snow and balls deep conditions. We've had a lot of great days, but the past two were just something special. Hopefully it continues on.

Any guestimation when most of CO resorts will close? WHich one would be the latest? Any chance this goes into May? I'm aware of the recent snow but on most of the resort's websites they have closing dates in mid April.

Those dates are tentative. Not set in stone by any means.

Take yourself to higher places.

Hate to say it but 90% of the resorts that are advertising an April closing date will probably close on that day. Telluride and Aspen has announced that they are extending their season by one week. Which means they are closing on the 19th.

Steamboat is still closing this weekend.

Not sure about Summit County spots and Winterpark, but it looks like they are going to stick to their dates right now.

Loveland will be open until the first weekend of May, maybe a bit longer. Arapahoe Basin will be open until June. Keep in mind that late in the season even with the lack of resorts that are open, the crowds are pretty non existant. Loveland and Slapahoe Basin are great places to ride.

Last year A-Basin was open til june 8th if I remember correctly. Most of the Summit resorts shut down pretty early.

When the fuck did we get ice cream?

Beaver Creek closes sunday, Vail a week after that, Breck closes on the 19th, Keystone the week before that, Copper around the 19th, loveland is the 3rd, and A basin is going to keep on keeping on till June.
