Has anyone ever been to Portillo, Chile? Or anywhere else in Chile/Argentina for that matter? I am looking into a trip to South America sometime in August and am wondering what mountain is the best in terms of snowfall and intermediate/advanced terrain?
Thanks for the help. |

Check for SASS... it is a camp in Argentina, but the location seem great and they are a few resort around there... you can also look at Catedral Alta Patagonia in Argentina...
August is great as the sun set around 7h00pm and the snowfall are usually good.

Ive been riding in Chile for the last 3 seasons, Mainly in El Colorado where I run slopeside accommodation. El Colorado links with La Parva, Valle Nevado and Farellones. The snow is great, the terrain is super fun, and theres been a really nice group of people to ride with.
