Talking Florida Ski Destinations!

One of the Mayors in Lake County made a pitch for an Adult Themed Resort boasting a horse track with other gambling facilities and an indoor ski hill. Lake county has actual hills. When I was young, I didn't even know we had ANY hills here. Anyways, the people voted it down. I've thought about the same as I've read about ones in Great Britain. I just saw it on the news last night. I just read today that they thought his constituents thought he was smoking crack. Oh well, I was super stoked for almost 24 hours.

Sorry to hear. That would have made me what to go visit friends who live between Altamonte Springs and Miami with a nice stop inbetween. Still waiting for the Meadowlands one in NJ to open up. But from the looks of it it's not going to be this summer and if it is, I'm going to be way too many people( mostly from Jersey )

Word is that the Meadowlands was suppose to be complete November 2009, but they ran out of money. Summer of 2010 is their new projected date. We'll see what happens. That place is gonna be super crowded during off season.

If you drive by, The yellow chute that launches about 45 degree towards the sky is part of the snow dome.
