Soo when you are coming to Tahoe, there a few things to think about first: North shore or South shore? and California or Nevada.
It's beautiful everywhere, every resort, every mountain so that is not the issue. If you guys are really want some bomb riding there are a few places that I would suggest North Shore: -Squaw Valley: amazing terrain, awesome mountain, decent village, good apres scene (everyone hangs around drinking all afternoon in the sun), okay nightlife in the village (5 minute drive from Tahoe City and 20 minutes to Crystal Bay for casinos); -Alpine Meadows: awesome terrain as well, a little more mellow than squaw, no village, no apres, all the nightlife either in Squaw or Tahoe City South Shore: -Heavenly: mediocre terrain, big night life, in South Lake Tahoe (borders with NV) so there are casinos right there, definitely a bigger party scene honestly, if you are going to go on a snowboard vacation, i would go to Squaw. If you look hard you can find deals there so its not insanely expensive and its absolutely worth it. The mountain is fabulous and it is close enough to everything (like casinos) that you can do anything no problem |
