Where Shall I Go? - Snowboarding Forum

Im thinking of doing some travelling this year. I would really like some help on deciding were to board this season.
Im looking at someware in either Canada or US,
I'm looking for a lively resort with really good nightlife!
I can board but im not attempting the hardest slopes yet

so I am really looking for mainly Intermediate runs.

So what do you guys recomend?

Whistler. No other location is better for nightlife and there are plenty of runs at your level.

Thanks Killclimbz. I had a look at the Whistler Blackcomb website. I saw a 14 day lift pass was $700 - $1000. Is this about average for this kind of resort?
If so this is going to be a very expensive 2 weeks boarding. I have no equipment, so hiring everything and accomodation as well is going to cost me a bomb!
Maybe I should look at working in or around a resort for 2 months and try and get the lift passes included in my wage. Do you know if any areas take on workers for just a couple of months or is it full seasons only?

Well, traveling to a resort is never going to be cheap. Especially when you are throwing in that you want a good party scene. The best party scenes are going to be Whistler, Aspen, and South Lake Tahoe. Pretty much in that order. All other places fall in behind those spots. Summit County/Vail in Colorado have alright scenes that can range from going off to completely dead. Though you can get an Epic Pass for just over $500, and that is a season pass good for Vail, Breck, ABasin, Keystone, Beaver Creek, and Heavenly in California. For a two week stay, you'd get your money's worth out of the pass. So that could save you quite a bit on riding the lifts. All the all other charges are going to be similar to Whistler.

If you're coming to Utah, I would recommend going to snowbird or brighton, depending whether you want a lot of park or not. If you want a night life though, I guess you should go to park city. Not my thing, so I couldn't tell you how it is, but everything else is fairly isolated.
