Opinions On Powderhorn - Snowboarding Forum

Hey I'm planning on a trip to Powderhorn Resort in Colorado. I was wondering what everyone's opinion was on the place. Thanks Everyone!

Pretty much a family resort. Not much if any in the way of challenging terrain. It's one of those places that is not even on the list of ski areas in Colorado that I want to visit. I've got three left there. Sunlight, which isn't that far away is rumored to be better. Aspen is also within striking distance of Grand Junction for a day trip.

Why Only once? oh and can't really make the drive to sunlight every day. Staying in the small town of olathe.

If you are staying in Olathe, go to Monarch if you are looking for cheap. Or Crested Butte or Telluride. I am 10 miles south of Olathe and those are the places I go. Monarch is cheaper and better than Powderhorn. Buy a 12 pack of coors and CB is buy one get one free lift tickets. I too have no interest in going to Powderhorn...I know peoplpe who go there and like it, but I have been spoiled by Telluride.
