Hello everyone so my buddy moved to San Diego and was talking about going to Bear this weekend.I looked at there site and it shows that they only have one lift and one run open.
Would it be worth the trip up?I would go but I am stuck here in NC where it never snows. Thanks Tommy

i don't know if it's worth it to drive all the way from Daygo.
my family lives in Highland which is right at the base of the mountain so it's worth it to visit them from LA and go up every weekend to hit a few lines and features... but your friend's looking at a 3-4 hour drive to hit a short (Central Park is really short) run with about 8 features before having to drive back. the snow's in good condition though, if that counts.

i went on friday, it wasn't really anything special but it was still fun. i didn't stay the weekend, as the crowds with one hill would be hellish. It was a good start to the season for me and i was able to pick up my season pass. coming from SD also, the drive was a little less than 2.5 hours.

I'm wondering if I should just stick with Mt. High (run from top to bottom at West) until Bear opens up 100%. |
