so few questions

will be going to colorado for the first time ever early next month, going to winter park (surprise gift from the wife for my 30th bday)

anyways, i have a 153 lib tech hot knife and 157 lib tech banana magic. im planning on bringing the hot knife. just planning on going on the greens and blues since thats what the wife enjoys

any tips from the locals? what parking lot to use? places to eat?

best green/blue trails? best lifts to use for smallest line?

will be boarding only one day saturday so trying to make the most of it.

The main thing I would say is to be aware that there are several flat run-outs at WP where you will be unstrapping and walking if you don't know/expect to keep your speed up. Its a fun place but the mogul capital of the world is a skier's paradise.

If you are only riding 1 day on a saturday, don't let i70 ruin it for you in the morning. You can easily spend 4 hours between Denver and Empire (where you get off i70) on any given weekend morning(it should only take 25 minutes). Get there the night before and sleep in the mountains or head up by 6am no later than 630. At 630 there will be heavy traffic, cross your fingers nobody fucks up cuz they probably will.

I'm sitting here in the now-fully-thawed Mid Atlantic and I'm plotting a trip to get some turns Easter Week. Seems that I can fly cheap from BWI to Denver and then shuttle out to Winter Park. The whole thing would take less time and cost less than a car trip to Vermont (which is getting shitty as I type this). I'm thinking about a 5 day trip. And I don't want to spend all my time in transit. (Someone had recommended Whistler but that sounds like a long, expensive haul for a 5 day trip.)

Tell me: is Winter Park predictably decent the first week of April? Is there somewhere else I should consider? Should I do 5 days at Winter Park or should I plan for some time at Copper? Advice?
