first ever trip to SLC

Hey guys this is my first trip to SLC and I would like to get some advice to where to buy lift tickets and etc.I will be there on the 20 of Dec to the 24. I'm with a group of 4 people and we are planning on visiting Solitude and Brighton. How are those mountains compare to others in SLC? I am also considering giving Snowbird a visit also. Also I would like to ask if taking the bus to the resort is more better than driving. The place I'm staying is in midvale I believe.

Brighton has most area open atm ... park city is boasting best early season park... the bird is opening more area due to the big storm we just got but its steep and rocky so the best areas are still sketchy id save my money and hit brighton or solitude. where in midvale are you staying? what alot of folks dont realize about the ski bus is that its not a shuttle its a regular bus route that drops off folks at the bottom of the canyons and that means long trips sometimes.I havent looked at the ten day forcast but if you guys are going to rent a vehicle you might as well drive up the canyon. in the mid vale area the only place i can think of for discount tix is ski n see a rather shitty generic rental place but that doesnt matter if youre just looking for cheaper tix. ill be riding the 20 and 24th hit me up if you go to brighton ill show you around a bit.
