Default Gore update?

I'm thinking of hitting Gore Wednesday. Anyone been there lately? Sheet ice or powder? Should I skip it and hit something else or have they managed to keep stuff together?

I'd be a pretty big hypocrite if I couldn't take it as well as I could dish it out. Most of the people I antagonize forget we're on the internet where even the worst and most offensive insults/jabs/rags are from strangers who couldn't pick you out of a lineup, and as such are completely meaningless. Say whatever you want, I don't give a rat's ass.

I was asking because resorts like using rubber rulers and seem to think 'loose granular' is another term for 'hardpack'. I use the home page as a guide, but there's no source quite as reliable as a cynical boarder who has nothing nice to say 90% of the time. If said person says it's good, it's good. And if it's not good, he's got no bones about giving you the straight dope.

At any rate, I'm obviously not at Gore right now. Given the recent developments in weather, I made the strategic decision to hit up Okemo tomorrow instead. Me, B.Gilly, the wife, and a buddy are slated to leave my place at 7AM. Not gonna make first lines, but won't be far off.

All the hardpack this year is killing me. I can't practice anything but speed and straight jumps. My ground game is as good as it's going to get, there are only so many black diamonds you can bomb before it gets boring. With the sheet ice, I haven't progressed much to speak of this year. To that end I'm not going to give up a chance like this. I fully intend for my legs being a rubbery mess by tomorrow evening. My goal is to stomp my first aerial 180's tomorrow. Not a big deal for a lot of people here I know.

ive been to okemo numerous times this season and ive also gone there when it hasnt snowed in weeks...total chaos. but i did go to stratton last weekend and the mtn was 100% open while okemo was at 80.

due to this storm were getting, i think that stratton would be more epic than okemo.
Heres my $.02 for u to make a strategic decision upon
