Kitzbühel, Austria

Has anyone been there? I am thinking of visiting my friend in Dresden in March and driving down to Kitzbühel for a few days of snowboarding. I have a feeling it is an expensive resort but looks epic based on the downhill competitions I have seen on television. It looks like the resort is snowboard friendly - I hope.

I haven't been there since Spring Break 1982 so I'm sure its changed. I had a blast. I was skiing one run and fell down. I looked down in the snow and found a full beer can. I popped it right there and drank it. I had a very pleasant afternoon. I didn't see any snowboards while I was there but then there probably weren't any snowboards in Europe then either.

i've bin in that area with newyear, not for a week, only for an afternoon, but there was very little snow so there was almost only artificial snow. but the slopes are pretty nice over there but a lot of blue slopes. but when you get higher in the mountains and go in the direction of mittersil you get way better slopes but mostly red and black, for me isn't that's nice but i don't know how experienced you are.

if you got any more questions feel free to ask.

have fun!

My last snowboard vacation last year was to Verbier, Switzerland which was a blast. There was great powder and amazing runs. The previous year we went to Whistler which was amazing, but not as amazing as the Alps. I have always wanted to visit Austria and this should be a fun trip. The closest I have been to Austria is Fussen. I am not certain I am going yet though. Thanks for the advice.
