Canadian Riders: How's the snow where you're at? - Snowboarding Forum

Where do you ride, what mountain do you shred on, any plans to hit any other mountains up?

I went up to Mount Washington in BC last week, it was awesome. Fresh snow the day before, not to hard packed, and on the ungroomed parts lots of powder. Great first run of the season!

Here in Whistler, the snow is epic, powder galore. Its snowing right now, and heaps more in the forecast

haha, BC riders are too busy riding to post on the forums.

east coast canadians post more, cuz we got nothing...nada... zip...

oh, and not much snow either :P

Bah, I cant wait to go up there this january!!!

But Mt Washington just got like 50 CM of new snow! Ill be up there later this week.

Man I wish I lived closer to the mountain, Id be up there almost every day.

In northeastern USA we got rain, as did Southeastern Canada...

Then it got cold and we got ice......

hoo-rahh...... We're used to it.

It was 34 freaking degrees! One less or two and we would of got a white out of pow pow, but no.

oh well

There's a forecast of +12 for sometime after sunday

That means all of our hills will melt, and it'll be another month before we'll have some snow again to ride on. I need to put in a few more days to get more than what my season's pass worth, but it's not even a matter of that. I just want to ride as much as I can...I don't think I'll be able to. If the mid Jan will be in the positive Temperatures, then everything after that will be ruined. .... Just when we were finally getting a decent layer of snow ...

Hey, some friends of mine went up to tremblant this past weekend and they said it was pretty good. I'll prolly head up this weekend

yeah, we're also making the trek up to tremblant from the 18th to 20th. I'm just hoping the snow shifts and increases. I dun wanna drive in a snowstorm on friday, and hoping lots of fresh snow for that weekend.
We wait and see...
The current problem is that they have only 53 runs open, and those are mostly greens and blues. I'd be at home on those, but my advanced rider/skier friends wouldnt be.

Yup, I think its gonna snow on my side on friday too, but nothing too serious. But i'll prolly drive up saturday morning. I think it takes about 4 hours to get there. I can't wait

I think it tends to get pretty packed tho but we'll see cos temperatures are gonna drop this weekend. In the single digits i think
