Wildcat Mountain
I went to Wildcat on Wednesday for their half price day. What a day it was! Crystal clear skies and no wind which is very unusual for the Mount Washington area. The view is just tremendous over to the Presidential Range. The mountain was 100% open.
The snow softened up by midday on the ungroomed trails. In the morning the groomed trails were perfect. They just got 10 inches a couple of days before I went. Overall, I like the trails though on both sides by later in the day it was hard to make it back to the lift because of the heavy, slow snow. The middle trails were better options at that point. There are no really hard trails but the moguls were enjoyable by later in the day when they had softened.
The high speed quad goes directly to the top and with small lift lines was ideal.
It's not my favorite mountain but for $32.50 it made for a very memorable day. I only wish I had brought sunscreen as my face was still emitting heat even the next day.
