How is Banff now?

My snowboard honeymoon is next week in Banff. So how are the snowboarding conditions up there now? I need some first hand reports since the resorts always paint a rosy picture of the conditions. I'm east coast so even a bad snowday at Banff is probably better than anything we get here.

No first hand experience but my buddy is in Calgary. Think 2 weeks ago Calgary had a snowstorm and it dumped a ton of fresh at SS and LL. He says the snows gone in Calgary...but its definitely still there in Banff. The mountains are huge there...so it'll definitely hold its snow beyond next week. Current conditions are 14ish...which is warm but you'll be amazed how snow holds up when its piled up in a mountain...heh. I was at stratton 3 weeks ago and it was 20 deg and really wet...but pretty dang fun...nothing like boarding in your t-shirt..ha.

I was at Lake Louise and it was great. Really soft spring snow which I love. There are dirt patches starting to appear on the front side (sunny side) but its still really good. They have a forcast a little rain there today but it may fall as snow. Should get snow tonight though once it cools down a bit.
I was at Sunshine the week before and it was still great. They will have good spring conditions as well. They should also get some snow tonight.
Norquay is closed.
Hope that helps!?

snow is shit in the morning because its pretty much ice, good in the afternoon because it starts getting soft, and by the end of the day its all slush. at sunshine there are a couple dirt patches on the ski out, goats eye is pretty much done, and the rocks and dirt are starting to come back. if we keep getting the weather we have been getting the past couple of weeks, it will be real shit by next week.

I was at sunshine yesterday and it was amazing in the morning and got kinda slushy by about 2. They had a mini big air comp goin on at the base with some loud music which had a pretty good vibe. Congrats on the marriage!
