Tahoe/Reno suggestions for May

I'm going to be in Reno for a few days mid May. I've heard some of the resorts in the area are going to be open around that date. Any suggestions as far as where to go. (snow quality at this time, pricing, trails for a progressing beginner) Thanks guys/gals!!

Squaw's web site says they close May 9, I think it's the last place open at Tahoe.

snow will be icy in the morning and loosening up fast as the sun hits it... if the weathers overcast the day will be pretty meh ... very limited terrain and rain in forecast will likely mean rain on the mtn not snow .. roll the dice if the weathers good because a great western spring slush day is sooooo fun.

supposedly, alpine meadows will be the only Tahoe resort left open that late, closes on sunday the 15th.

If you can get down to Mammoth (3.5 hrs away), they're open until may 31.

Fair warning, Sibo (siberia bowl) and the funitel as well as headwall will be shutdown mid-week for the rest of the season. KT should spin till close. Alpine is also running limited ops. Everything else with lift access will be no go. BC will still be accessible if limited.
