Need a little advise

Hello all, just found this site during my vacation search today. I've never been out west for snowboarding and now my wife and I are looking at going to either Utah or Colorado in the near future.

A few things, I'd like some nice pow-pow and a park to ride in. However, my wife has never been before so I'd like to find a place that she can have fun at even if she's not snowboarding the whole time. Also, we're trying not to break the bank here.

So anyway, thought I'd ask you all, where should I look? Places like Vail and Breckenridge look really expensive, but are there certain places to stay there that will still be nice just not as expensive.

i'm sure mr right will chime in on this one as well. i haven't been out there yet, but i have a trip planned to loveland, CO. it's cheap (mid 40s) and has gotten rave reviews by people on the forum.
