Wintergreen VA

So, here's my pro/con list for Wintergreen, VA...

Pros:
Nice website, Wintergreen Resort
Nice season pass stuff for college kids
Biggest tubing park in VA
Lots of expert terrain
Good progression park AND
Good Advanced park
Not Crowded Night skiing till 9/10, with good rates for a party

Cons:
ICE... but it is the east coast.
Highlands (expert only-area) closes at 4:15 PM
Park is a bit crowded mid-afternoon,
landings get a bit icey, and divots after rails
and takeoffs are roughed up in progression park.
Ride-on rails sometimes the take off is busted up
VERY CROWDED SATURDAYS
Season pass doesn't work on saturdays, but it's crowded, so who cares
Parking is a drag when it's crowded

Overall: good for ice coast, go west for real snow though... Much better than massanutten.
Season goes from December - March

One of my favorite EC resorts and I agree on most all points. I recently went after New Years' and had a great time. Wintergreen is by far the best mountain in Va. -- hence why it's very crowded on the weekend.

Couldnt of said it better man. Wintergreen is my local mountain and ride it at least twice a week. I would agree with you on your pro's and con's. well written i must say
